Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Parts Director to oversee and manage the parts department of our organization. The Parts Director will be responsible for maintaining inventory, optimizing parts inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee company parts management, including accounting, parts systems, processes, and procedures.
• Improve parts operations to facilitate growth and successfully achieve the company’s long-term strategic goals.
• Design policies and procedures for inspection, handling, and processing of parts to be exchanged.
• Ensure materials and parts are available in accordance with operational demands and commitments.
• Review the parts inventory database and evaluate strategies to optimize inventory, ensuring levels coincide with usage/operations.
• Conduct quarterly inventory audits and evaluate vendors in cooperation with Supply Chain.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5 years of managerial experience.
• At least 7 years of parts management for Class 8 assets
• Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.

Essential Duties:

• Forecast inventory requirements by facility and monitor activity.
• Conduct audits as required by each facility.
• Provide input to annual budget based on historical data.
• Meet 2 or 3 annual objective/measurable targets set by VP of Maintenance
