Organizational Development Director directs the design, planning, and implementation of corporate organizational development programs, policies, and procedures. Approves change management initiatives and suggests enhancements to existing programs. Being an Organizational Development Director oversees the development of programs to build human capital and a strong employee development culture. Reviews key performance metrics to enable accurate and valid measurement of workforce performance and to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, Organizational Development Director proposes changes to organizational structure to leverage talent and provide development opportunities to key leaders in the organization. Develops systematic collection and evaluation of performance metrics. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Organizational Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Organizational Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Job Description

    Hite Consulting is seeking a Full Time Organizational Development Specialist to provide specialized support and expertise related to workforce development and planning, succession planning, strategic development and other day-to-day operational services to support our client at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This position is a hybrid role primarily working remotely, with client engagement activities in Atlanta, GA. Candidates should be local to the Atlanta area. 

    Note: This position is Contract Contingent and is waiting to be awarded. 

    Position Duties:

    • Develop a workforce plan that describes the organization’s goals and priorities and is in alignment with the strategic plan;
    • Analyze and describe how workforce might be impacted by new initiatives such as enhanced competencies and other strategic goals and objectives;
    • Assess and identify where gaps in qualified talent may exist for critical roles required to achieve the organizations strategic goals and identify critical roles of organizational components;
    • Identify shifts that may need to take place to meet mission requirements now and in the future.
    • Develop strategies and processes focused on recruiting for, hiring, developing, retaining, and serving a more diverse workforce;
    • Develop a comparison of the federal civilian workforce and provide recommendations on how to address risks facing the workforce that may impact mission if not addressed;
    • Identify leading practices in similar organizations;
    • Identify succession planning needs at all levels of the organization and develop an implementation plan with recommended actions to be taken in the near term and long term to ensure the organization has the appropriate workforce in place;
    • Design, deploy and analyze FEVS data to develop strategies and action plans to address workforce planning and development;
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

     Qualifications and Education Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business (Development, Management) or related field and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience;
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience with succession planning and workforce development preferably at a federal level;
    • Ability to analyze situations and perform needs assessment and other implementation plans to fill gaps found;
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 programs including Word, Excel, Teams, Calendar, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint;
    • Ability to work independently without day-to-day supervision;
    • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills and ability to adjust to changing situations;
    • US Citizenship is required to obtain or maintain an active NACI security clearance.
