Title: DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: General Manager
Direct Reports: HR Generalist, HR Coordinator
Compensation: Salaried with Benefits
Position Summary
Dot It seeks an experienced Director of Human Resources to focus on a full spectrum of HR operations, systems, and programs. This role will collaborate with senior management to create and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal and state laws; recruit employees; assist employees with onboarding and offboarding transitions; manage leave-of-absence programs, paid-time-off, and personnel records; assist with HR budget; and handle HR workplace issues.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily workflow and work quality of the department.
- Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Administer or oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics.
- Monitor and ensure the organization is in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance, in coordination with the Enterprise HR Director.
- Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy and in coordination with leadership.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to senior leadership.
- Develop and implement a departmental budget.
- Work closely with the management team to perform recruitment activities including needs assessments for new roles and responsibilities, sourcing talent, interviewing, and evaluating candidates for the selection process.
- Facilitate the new hire onboarding and orientation process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver a positive experience, as well as conducting stay and exit interviews.
- Manage all leaves such as FMLA, STD, LTD, worker’s compensation, etc., including recording and investigating WC claims.
- Research and promote professional development opportunities for employees, including formal succession planning efforts.
- Oversee salary surveys and report data to compensation committee.
- Oversee the payroll function performed by the HR Generalist and review for accuracy.
- Lead the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, as well as the Spirit Squad.
- Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, payroll inquiries, and benefit questions.
- Process benefit changes and submit monthly Benefits billing to Accounting for payment.
- Participate in L10 meetings with onsite leadership.

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of human resource management experience required.
- Payroll experience and benefits administration required.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
