Occupational Therapy Supervisor supervises the delivery of occupational therapy programs that help patients develop, regain, or maintain their ability to perform daily activities. Provides guidance and monitors the performance of the occupational therapy staff. Being an Occupational Therapy Supervisor studies, evaluates, and records patients' activities and progress. May require a master's degree. Additionally, Occupational Therapy Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Typically requires Occupational Therapist certification. The Occupational Therapy Supervisor supervises a group of professional level staff. May also be a level above a supervisor. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     The Clinic Supervisor will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, and will manage the day to day operations of the clinic. At PRIME, we understand that our business thrives when our employees thrive, and it begins with hiring the right clinic manager.


    Objectives of this role:

    • Plan, direct and coordinate medical and health services in a PRIME onsite or offsite clinics, managed care organizations, public health agencies or similar organizations.
    • Ensure the PRIME clinic is managed per rules and regulations according to PRIME’s procedures/policies and ensure compliance with local, state and national regulations are adhered to. 
    • Provide guidance and interpretation for the operation of the clinic.
    • Hire, guide, counsel and teach employees proper procedures to ensure a smooth operation.


    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the day to day operations of the clinic
    • Administer fiscal operations, including but not limited to accounting, planning, budgets, expenditures, rates of service and financial reporting
    • Recruitment, hiring, training, evaluating of staff
    • Ensuring clinic is fully staffed and implementing work schedules
    • May be required to travel
    • May be required to work overtime and or holidays
    • Other duties as assigned


    Requirements


    Required skills and qualifications:

    • Administrative and Management skills
    • Customer service
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
    • Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of a clinic procedures and policies
    • Advanced knowledge of occupational medicine and or a clinic setting and ability to learn new technical systems, when necessary


    Preferred skills and qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in health information management, business, or related field
    • Proven success working in an medical clinic or department
    • Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail
    • Supervisory management
    • Knowledge of local, state and national laws and regulations related to employment


    Physical Demands: Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time, lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 75 pounds. Repetitive motion. Extensive use of computers and keyboard. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials.  


    Mental Requirements: Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with employees and visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
