Primary Purpose: To assist the Director of School Nutrition in the efficient coordination of activities related to personnel and payroll processes in the School Nutrition department.  Maintain and improve the necessary flow of information among and between all Departmental personnel and other required contacts. 

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited HS or GED Program preferred
• Working towards TASN Level V Certification

Special Knowledge Skills:

• Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Possess basic bookkeeping skills
• Demonstrate strong filing skills with the ability to organize, maintain, and retrieve from a large system.
• Personal qualities of tact, courtesy, dependability, and initiative
• Ability to use a personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and word processing

Experience:

• 3-5 years of office experience with emphasis on payroll, HR, Invoices, and Accounts Payable is preferred

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

• Greet visitors and assist in meeting their needs by responding in a knowledgeable and courteous manner to personal and telephone inquiries
• Facilitate communication with department personnel and other required contacts

• Perform semi-monthly payrolls and KRONOS maintenance

• Assemble, verify, and recapitulate report forms and payroll using current software

• Review all invoices for accuracy
• Assist with the accounts payable/receivable process
• Setup new School Nutrition employees in KRONOS
• Produce and assemble information and data as needed for various records and reports;
• Maintain all files and records in accordance with USDA, TDA, and ECISD rules and regulations
• Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director

Maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional prolonged or irregular hours.  Occasional district or state travel.
