The Network Administrator will manage networks and their security by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Designs network security architecture and aids in the definition of network and security frameworks for both LAN and WIFI networks
- Making sure that the networks are protected from malware and viruses, identifying areas that might be under threat and areas where security can be improved, and keeping up to date or ever-changing cyber threats.
- Develops, updates, and provides evidence for POAM maintenance and resolutions for all team controlled assets identified with an open security vulnerability requiring mitigation
- Participate in network provisioning system and implementation of equipment.
- Assist in vendor triage and provide solutions to network-related issues.
- Develop and implement monitoring capability for security infrastructure.
- Monitors network traffic and makes recommendations for additional resources.
- Researches and implements security and firewall strategies.
- Analyzes Nessus report, incident data and logs to determine the vulnerability of networks.
- Recommends solutions to complex security/network problems in existing and developing systems.
- Specifies long-term plan for the evolution of existing architecture and tools.
- Manages interfaces between ISP and other hardware vendors
- Interact with other departments to ensure proper security practices are followed.
- Maintain and manage network software such as AD, DHCP, DNS, LAPS, INTUNE, Network Access Control, BitLocker, BitDefender, and Acronis Backups
- Must be able to maintain 24x7 availability and be willing to provide after-hours and weekend support as needed
- Some helpdesk system support will be required
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong technical understanding with Cisco, Fortinet switches, Routers, Watchguard Firewalls, VLANS, Routing tables, and Firewall rules
- Strong understanding of Azure, InTune, Exchange O365, LAPS, Hyper-virtualization, Bitdefender EPDR, Acronis Cyber Protect Backups
- Strong technical understanding of Application/Web technologies (IIS, Apache Tomcat, .NET framework, etc.), Active Directory, SQL Server
- Experience with ITAR, DFARS, NIST, CUI, and CMMC is a plus
- Experience with physical (Dell, HP) and virtual (Hyper-V) systems
- Highly proficient in Server Operating Systems, such as Windows Server
- Knowledge of client/server hardware and software configuration
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Ability to research and develop creative solutions to unique problems
- Knowledge of networking concepts and designs
- Very strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Network/Security Administration role
