Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Clerk with proficient scanning skills to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently scan and digitize documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scan and digitize various types of medical records documents, including contracts, invoices, and correspondence, using scanning equipment and software.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of scanned documents by performing quality checks and adjustments as necessary.
- Organize and maintain digital files in a systematic and accessible manner, adhering to established file naming conventions and folder structures.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize scanning tasks based on urgency and importance.
- Assist with document retrieval and distribution as needed, both electronically and in hard copy format.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information contained in scanned documents.
- Keep accurate records of scanning activities, including quantity, types of documents scanned, and any issues encountered.
- May assist with other administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and answering phones, as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in office administration or related field is a plus.
- Proficiency in using scanning equipment and software, such as Adobe Acrobat or similar programs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to detect errors and inconsistencies in scanned documents.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and external contacts.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of office equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Discretion and integrity when handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
