Market Research Analyst jobs in the United States

VDC Research Group is a B2B technology market intelligence and consulting firm, delivering in-depth insights and strategies to vendors, technology decision makers, and investors across the globe since 1971. We are looking for a Senior Analyst to support our growing IoT and Embedded Technology practice from our Southborough, MA location.

Senior Analysts conduct innovative research and advise clients through written reports, consulting, industry events and more. You should have a strong understanding of the IoT and Embedded technology, a passion for conducting and writing research to stay informed of the issues, and the desire to engage directly with clients to lead positive change in their organizations. You will develop and maintain your brand and the brands of VDC and your practice and provide support for related marketing, business development and sales activities.

Our Ideal candidates will have:

• BA/BS degree in a related field (e.g. statistics, marketing, market research, business management, or a technology discipline); MA or MBA degree are a plus.
• A minimum of 8 years of full-time work experience in a data or technology driven role.
• Working knowledge of specific technologies and/or markets listed above, including basic understanding of electronic hardware and software development concepts.
• Quantitative and qualitative analysis skills and experience.
• Experience in forecasting emerging technologies, including familiarity with industry vertical market segments.
• Ability to assimilate complex data sets, identify critical theme and implications, define creative strategy alternatives.
• High level ability to communicate to clients in concise and polished verbal, written, and/or spreadsheet formats.
• Experience with surveys and survey software platforms (i.e, Qualtrics, Q, SPSS).
• Expertise with MS Office applications (Excel, Power Point, and Word).
• Familiarity with statistical data analysis methods and tools.
• Experience in project, program and/or product management in a tech supplier or manufacturing organization.
• Ability and willingness to travel to attend industry events and support client engagements.
