Managed Care Provider Relations Manager manages and maintains service relationships with physicians, providers, and administrators of a provider network. Implements and oversees the credentialing and orientation process to ensure healthcare providers understand and adhere to network operating policies and procedures. Being a Managed Care Provider Relations Manager analyzes feedback from network stakeholders to survey satisfaction and facilitate communication. Reviews provider inquiries about referrals, eligibility, credentialing, and other policy matters and resolves complex issues. Additionally, Managed Care Provider Relations Manager evaluates provider relationships to assist with recruiting and contracting healthcare providers into the network. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Managed Care Provider Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Managed Care Provider Relations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Responsibilities:
    Leadership and Management:

    • Lead and inspire a team of caregivers, administrative, marketing and operational staff, and other employees to deliver high-quality care.
    • Develop and implement strategies to achieve the company’s short-term and long-term goals, including revenue growth and service expansion.
    • Foster a positive, collaborative, and client-centered workplace culture.

    Operational Oversight:

    • Manage daily operations to ensure efficient service delivery, compliance with state and federal regulations, and adherence to company policies.
    • Monitor and manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation to optimize profitability and service quality.
    • Implement and refine operational processes to improve efficiency, quality of care, and client satisfaction.

    Business Development:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances to expand the company’s market presence.
    • Oversee marketing and community outreach initiatives to build brand awareness and attract new clients.
    • Engage with local healthcare providers, referral sources, and community organizations to promote the company’s services.

    Client and Care Management:

    • Ensure the highest standards of care are delivered consistently, addressing any client concerns or issues promptly.
    • Oversee the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of caregivers, coordinators and support staff to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
    • Regularly assess client needs and satisfaction, making adjustments to care plans as necessary.

    Compliance and Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards.
    • Implement quality assurance programs to monitor and improve care delivery.
    • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.

    Qualifications:
    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within business and/or the healthcare or homecare industry.
    • Proven track record of managing a successful, growth-oriented business.
    • Experience in budget management, financial analysis, and operational planning.

    Skills:

    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strategic thinking with the ability to implement actionable plans.
    • Knowledge of local healthcare regulations and homecare industry standards.
    • Proficiency in using management software and tools.
