Localization Engineer develops and produces localized versions of the company's products and services. Supports the creation and maintenance of localization test specifications and scripts for automating localization testing. Being a Localization Engineer tests localized products according to test specifications. Identifies, prioritizes and fixes localization bugs according to established procedures. Additionally, Localization Engineer applies working knowledge of networks, operating systems, hardware, software, and testing/production environments in performing work assignments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Localization Engineer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be a Localization Engineer typically requires 2 -4 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)
COMPANY
GPR is radically accelerating the arrival of self-driving vehicles by tackling some of the most challenging problems that stand in the way of safe and reliable navigation.
Every road in the world has a unique subsurface signature. GPR uses radar to create a map of those subsurface signatures from which self-driving cars can navigate. Vehicles using GPR are unaffected by common but challenging road conditions like snow, heavy rain, fog, or poor lane markings.
GPR is working with leading autonomous vehicle and traditional automotive companies, is backed by leading investors, is growing quickly, and is building a talented team that wants to transform the future of mobility and work on some of the hardest and most important engineering problems around. If that sounds like you, please drop us a line.
ROLE
As the Senior Mapping and Localization Engineer, you will contribute to GPR's efforts around key algorithmic and engineering decisions for our radar-based map and sensor fusion-based localization algorithms. Your work will involve developing and innovating in the field of Radar-based Localization.
WHO YOU ARE WHAT YOU'LL DO
