Legal Secretary jobs in Michigan

Legal Services of Northern Michigan, a legal aid program, seeks a legal secretary for its Alpena office. We are willing to train a hard-working and enthusiastic candidate who does not have legal experience. Applicants with customer service, retail, or other office experience are encouraged to apply.

We are seeking someone with strong communication and organizational skills, who is attentive to detail, and who has the ability to work on deadline and in a non-routine work environment.

The new staff member will be trained by a seasoned legal secretary and will provide professional administrative support to attorneys while working as a team with program support staff in other offices.

Office hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination at time of hire.

Salary will be based on qualifications. Full time employees receive a benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, FSA, paid vacation and sick leave, paid holidays, and the option to participate in a retirement savings plan.

Pay: $22,000.00 - $29,250.00 per year
