Real Estate Professionals and Experienced ROW Agents Needed to fill Land Agent Positions with Midwest Utility Companies
We are seeking experienced real estate agents and brokers, and Land & ROW professionals with current real estate licenses* for contract assignments with several of our clients, leading electric and natural gas providers in the Midwest. This opportunity offers consistent income and rewarding work in a dynamic industry, where you’ll play a key role in acquiring and managing real estate assets for electric and gas utility projects.
Most positions we’re seeking to fill are remote, but candidates would need to be semi-local in proximity to client service areas; you will be based out of your home or hotel. There may be a limited number of positions based in a client office setting.
States with immediate needs: MO, IL, WI, IN, OH, and MI
However, we conduct operations nationwide and are always recruiting in locations in addition to those states mentioned above.
Position Highlights May Include:
· Engage with landowners to secure necessary real estate rights and agreements for new capital projects or for upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure.
· Work remotely and in the field as needed, meeting directly with landowners to negotiate new/amended easements, secure survey or other types of permissions, or arrange for a storage yard or access road for use during construction.
· Utilize client or local gov’t office resources, identify ownership of subject parcels.
· Use client or local gov’t office resources, research to find vesting deeds, historical documentation including easements, and other real estate related documents.
· Provide survey support during civil, cultural, and environmental surveys, and construction support during construction phase to settle damages to crops.
· May assist with obtaining necessary permits for road and railroad crossings.
Candidates Must:
· Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to build relationships, negotiate successfully, and communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
· Stay organized, managing multiple projects and tasks while adhering to deadlines.
Qualifications:
· Current real estate licensee* or have the ability to reactive or obtain through reciprocity
· Experience preferred or possess knowledge of utility rights-of-way acquisition highly desired. OTJ training may be available depending on the region/client.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
· Very organized and excellent attention to detail.
· Self-motivated and able to work independently.
