Manufacturing Supervisor- 2nd Shift This position is responsible for managing the manufacturing of milk replacer at the Union Center, WI facility and provide leadership to produce a high-quality product for customers through developing a safety culture that fosters personal accountability, improving plant efficiencies, maintaining positive employee relations and properly utilizing plant assets.
Responsible to drive results in employee safety, improved performance, and product quality metrics for 2nd and 3rd shift.
Hours : 4PM-12 : 30AM The Manufacturing Supervisor will need to : Provides leadership for off shift production, guidance, and supervision to hourly employees by directly supervising and coordinating the activities of employees.
This includes production, housekeeping, quality control and distribution to ensure safety, production, quality, and cost standards are met.
This position has hourly direct reports.
Upholds and demonstrates the Land O'Lakes core values. Effectively coordinates and utilizes available resources to formulate action plans for process and quality improvement, QMS and regulatory requirements, cost reduction, etc.
Conducts regular inspections and production audits; compiles required reports; supports plant quality, environmental and safety programs.
Confers with management and production personnel on production problems and recommends changes to improve production and quality standards.
Effectively interacts with all employees to optimize efficiencies and meet plant objectives.
Works closely with all members of management staff to ensure that the highest quality products meet scheduled commitments in a safe / efficient manner at the lowest possible cost.
