The General Manager at Journeyman Distillery's Union Hall restaurant plays an important role in building the brand through service to guests and staff. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
HAPPY PEOPLE
- Implement strategic plans to achieve objectives in alignment with broader organizational strategies
- Ensure positive relationships with tenants, guests, and other stakeholders
- Lead and manage a team, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Execute menus according to established standards
- Conduct the Journeyman Employee Ecosystem as per the process with every direct report
- Manage the resourcing of roles within the department with a focus on cultural fit
- Coach team members to effectively complete tasks, communicate effectively with other stakeholders, and grow their skills
- Oversee performance management of direct reports including terminations, ensuring positive and respectful relationships are maintained.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
- Oversee budget including expenses and staffing
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Analyze financial performance metrics
- Streamline operational processes and workflows
- Monitor and manage inventory levels
- Analyze data to anticipate operational needs
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and internal policies
- Review Scorecard Metrics and provide reports and updates to leadership and key stakeholders

YOUR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- ServSafe Manager Certification.
- Minimum of 5 years verifiable experience in restaurant management, preferably in full-service establishments.
- Minimum of 5 years verifiable experience managing the P&L of a business or businesses.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and alcohol-service regulations.
- Familiarity with an Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is a plus.
