Job Developer supports social services clients in job searching and placement. Establishes and maintains working relationships with employers, industry organizations, and public agencies to source job openings and secure employment and vocational training opportunities for clients. Being a Job Developer evaluates individual's background, skills, and interest and matches to potential job openings or training programs. Coaches and prepares candidate for interview and entry into the workforce. Additionally, Job Developer may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Job Developer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The program combines technical and professional training with access to internships and job placement support through our industry-leading talent placement firm YUPRO Placement. If you receive an internship, it may be at Citizens, Amica Mutual Insurance Company, Lifespan, or Fidelity, among other leading organizations in the Providence area.
Are you eligible?You can apply to Year Up if you are:- 18-29 years old- A high school graduate or GED recipient- Eligible to work in the U.S.- Available Monday-Friday throughout the duration of the program- Highly motivated to learn technical and professional skills- Have not obtained a Bachelorʼs degree
What will you gain?Professional business and communication skills, interviewing and networking skills, resume building, ongoing support and guidance to help you launch your career. Some coursework is eligible for college credit. During the internship phase, Year Up students earn an educational stipend of $525 per week.In-depth classes include:- Business Fundamentals- Helpdesk/Desktop Support- Investment Operations- Banking & Customer Success
