Key Responsibilities- Fulfill 40 billable hours per week.
- Prior construction experience is advantageous.
- Provide comprehensive accounting support across various projects.
- Ensure the timely achievement of milestones and target dates.
- Undertake special projects and requests as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring legal compliance.
- Reconcile subsidiary accounts and manage the general ledger.
- Organize and file historical documents.
- Prepare insightful financial reports by analyzing account information and trends.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions is desirable.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries.
- Cultivate enduring relationships with clients.
- Commit to responding to client queries within a 24-hour timeframe.
- Implement and uphold project methodologies, standards, and best practices.
- Supervise designated Quality Control projects.
- Review all deliverables for completeness and accuracy before client submission.
- Proactively address any challenges encountered during project execution.
- Ensure all projects are "audit ready."
- Oversee project budgets to ensure adherence.
- Promptly notify the VP of Operations of any projected budget deviations.
- Maintain regular communication with the VP of Operations regarding project progress and adjustments.
- Conduct weekly team meetings for comprehensive project reviews.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Staff Accountants and Bookkeepers.
- Support the continuous professional development of the team.
- Propose enhancements to financial processes and policies.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Uphold a positive demeanor and support colleagues.
- Participate actively in team-building activities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements.
