Inventory Control Manager manages inventory control operations. Implements policies, objectives, and initiatives. Being an Inventory Control Manager employs standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency. Assists with inventory planning, scheduling, forecasting, and control operations. Additionally, Inventory Control Manager implements Inventory tools and systems for tracking, analysis, auditing, and reporting. Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Inventory Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Inventory Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • The IC/DP Supervisor's duties:

    This Supervisor role is responsible for the daily supervision of hourly employees ensuring that both customer service and internal measurements are held to the highest standards.

    Responsibilities:


    • Promote superior customer service throughout the distribution center.
    • Ensure departmental performance effectively meets customer demands and corporate goals.
    • Train and coach employees to achieve quality and production standards.
    • Communicate all service and operational deficiencies to Department Manager.
    • Promote teamwork and superior levels of achievement throughout the distribution center.
    • Minimize employee turnover, retain good employees.
    • Achieve acceptable levels on employee opinion surveys.
    • Develop individual team members through coaching and correcting.
    • Uphold, support and maintain company safety standards.
    • Ensure that all equipment in the department is maintained in good working order through proper use and preventive maintenance.
    • Accomplish productivity goals through efficient, effective use of staff.
    • Allocate time efficiently, handle multiple tasks and complete priorities.
    • Assist in developing plans to improve processes and reduce costs.
    • Establish and maintain good working relationships with other departments.
    • Show commitment to the sense of urgency that drives our daily business.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    What You Will Need:

    • Show ability to lead others in fast-paced, high-quality work environment.
    • Articulate with good oral and written communication skills.
    • Experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
    • Ability to multi-task with ease.
    • Post-secondary education preferred.

    Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word , Access and Outlook. Understanding of Inventory flow, inventory movement and management. Troubleshooting of PC's as well as an understanding of databases. Network knowledge and ability to trouble shoot networks a plus.
