Summary: As a member of the EHR Regional Expansion project team, participates in deploying the ANMC Cerner Millennium EHR to Alaska Native Tribal Health sites.
Responsibilities:
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
Participates as part of EHR deployment team in project planning including staffing, resources, events, timelines, gathering requirements, assessing an organization’s EHR ‘readiness’, defining roles and responsibilities for project teams.
Able to provide presentations and demonstrations of system functionality when requested.
Works with clinical and business departments internally and externally to assist with recommendations related to clinical systems/EHR to enhance revenue and improve user and patient experience in area of expertise.
Provides oversight to vendor and client site (ATHS regions/villages) for system implementation in area of expertise.
Provides consultative services and assistance to sites for changes in workflow that may be required to optimize system use and standard build in area of expertise.
Maintains oversight of regional site go-live training including train the trainer, curriculum development, training schedule and training resources specific to area of expertise.
Establishes effective interpersonal relationships with all levels of medical center personnel and regional clinic/village personnel. Promotes an atmosphere that encourages enthusiasm and user participation with EHR. Promotes teamwork and participates as an active member of the deployment team. Understands the mission vision and values and maintains the work environment to support.
Must display professional demeanor and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with ANMC/Regional health corporation leadership, providers, system users, management and vendors.
Offsite/remote work, travel is required

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
· Analyst experience with knowledge of Cerner Millennium solutions including design/build and associated tools.
· Experience with automated workflow redesign and process improvement associated with clinical system implementation desired.
· Strong understanding of healthcare strategy, operations, technology and regulatory requirements.

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Informatics, computer programming, or related field. Progressively responsible professional/exempt work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Non-supervisory - Five (5) years’ experience in revenue cycle experience in the healthcare industry with proven ability to provide implementation and support to clinical users. Experience with Cerner revenue cycle including patient accounts and charge services is desired.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION
Experience in the Alaska Tribal Health System.
