    Exempt Status: Hourly

    Job Summary

    Run, monitor and CIP 2 Milk UFs, and lactose RO. Perform cleaning items as assigned.

    Essential Functions

    • Run, monitor and CIP on 2 milk UFs and lactose RO.
    • Take samples and adjust equipment to achieve centerlines
    • Complete cleaning list daily.
    • Foam, scrub and clean UF/RO and bay area daily.
    • Ensure the correct identify and weigh of tanker trucks is recorded- if covering for intake operator.
    • Test milk for antibiotics and acidity levels- if covering for intake operator.
    • Manage the traffic flow through the intake bays to ensure efficiency
    • Restock supplies for Charm II (antibiotic testing equipment)
    • Monitor temperature charts for CIP (trucks and silos)
    • Ensure CIP’s are performed as required
    • Ensure the intake lab, silo alcove and bays are clean and organized
    • Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct.
    • Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds

    • Ability to climb ladders and work on top of milk trucks
    • Attention to detail
    • Computer experience
    • Must be accurate in taking samples & performing tests
    • Ability to pass state certification for CHARM testing (will train)
    • Ability to operate (or learn to operate) necessary equipment
    • Excellent record required in safety, attendance, and punctuality
    • Ability to stand and walk the entire shift if needed
    • Ability to read and write instructions in English
    • Knowledge of the proper use of all cleaning chemicals
    • Must be able to work weekends, and overtime as required
