Instructor - Sociology jobs in North Dakota
Instructor - Sociology teaches courses in the discipline area of sociology. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Sociology provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Sociology typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Job Title: Adjunct Instructor for Sociology
Location: Face-to-face at Mayville State University, Mayville, ND and Online
Benefits: Non-Benefited

Compensation: Salary commensurate with course load. An offer of employment is contingent on passing a background check.

Job Description: Mayville State University accepts applications for Adjunct Instructors on an ongoing basis. We are looking for adjunct instructors who can teach a variety of online and/or on-campus courses in Sociology courses. These positions and applications are viewed as openings occur.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Teaching experience face-to-face and online
- Background/experience in applying instructional technology as a tool in education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching in higher education.
- Two years of experience teaching face-to-face and in an online environment
