Instructor - Pharmaceutical Sciences teaches courses in the discipline area of pharmaceutical sciences. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Pharmaceutical Sciences provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Pharmaceutical Sciences typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. General Position Summary
This is a 9-month, full-time position.
Instructors may be assigned classes at any of the four River Parishes Community College campuses (Gonzales, Reserve, Plaquemine, and St. Charles locations), as determined by student need and institutional demand. Full-time faculty are expected to actively serve on campus committees, participate in campus activities, and participate in student advising. Teaching needs will include face-to-face, online, and/or evening classes. Faculty are responsible for the timely and accurate submission of required documentation related to human resources and instruction.
Qualifications- Required: Master’s degree, with at least 18 graduate-level credit hours in Chemistry from an accredited institution
