Instructor - English teaches courses in the discipline area of English. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - English provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - English typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. We are looking for experienced teachers for the following positions:
KIDS ENGLISH TEACHER - Winter Program runs from December 23, 2024 - February 21, 2025.
We plan daily lessons and activities for international students ages 6 - 12. The program aims to create a fun, safe, and interactive immersion environment to help students practice their English. The program runs for 9 weeks, but teaching assignments can vary depending on teacher availability and student enrollment. Ideal candidate has experience working with children and teaching ESL. Our Kids Program runs Monday - Friday, 8:45am to 3:45pm.
KIDS TEACHER ASSISTANTS - Winter Program runs from December 23, 2024 - February 21, 2025.
Our Kids Program pairs an English teacher with an assistant, whose role is to to support the teacher during class activities, help with classroom management, and serve as an extra pair of eyes when we're out on our field trips. Our program runs for 9 weeks, but assistants will be scheduled depending on their availability and student enrollment. Ideal candidate has experience working with children. Teacher assistant hours are normally from 9:00am to 3:45pm.
CLASSROOM TEACHERS - We teach private and group English lessons to students of different ages and proficiency levels. Lessons are either planned according to the course's curriculum or, in case of private lessons, the students' needs. We have classes to fill throughout the year.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- On call
