Being a HRIS Supervisor monitors and improves data collection and reporting procedures for efficiency. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, HRIS Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Job Description
The Michigan Civil Service Commission is looking for a motivated individual who is organized, goal oriented, and is interested in working in a fast-paced, professional Human Resources environment. This position will serve as a Human Resources Student Assistant performing a wide range of duties supporting the Classifications and Selections representatives, as well as the Labor Relations staff serving the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Academics focusing on Human Resources.
- Exceptional follow up and customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable and self-motivated with an emphasis on attention to detail
- Ability to work closely with others on complex issues
Required Education and Experience
Current enrollment in high school, vocational or technical school, or post-secondary educational institution. Specific information on the education and experience required for difference class levels is in the job specifications for Human Resources Student Assistant class.
