Position: Housekeeping Manager
Overview: The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for ensuring that all guest spaces are regularly cleaned, inspected and maintained to the highest standard for guest satisfaction.
This position is responsible for scheduling, training and supervising hotel Housekeepers and Housekeeping Leads.
Supervision: Reports directly to the Director of Rooms
List of Duties:
● Communicate with housekeeping staff about rooms to be cleaned and special requests
● Inspect guest rooms and public areas to make sure they meet cleanliness standards
● Report room status to front desk
● Inspect guest rooms for maintenance and repairs
● Assist in training, coaching and development of team members
● Conduct bi-annual performance reviews of direct reports
● Conduct breaks for assigned staff
● Inspect supply levels and maintain par levels
● Submit supply order needs to Director of Rooms
● Schedule staff according to standards and forecasted occupancy
● Conducts monthly inventory of linen supplies and equipment
● Work with management to resolve guest complaints
● May be required to work as a housekeeper as staffing needs are determined
● Complete additional departmental projects as determined by the Director of Rooms
● Participate in hiring process for new housekeeping staff
● Issue disciplinary warnings when performance and cleanliness standards are not met
● Attend monthly manager meetings
Requirements:
● Three years of housekeeping experience
● Proven management experience
● Read, write and speak English fluently
● Knowledge of scheduling and productivity
● Must be exceptionally detail-oriented
● Position requires working both indoors and outdoors
● Ability to fulfill housekeeping cleaning duties as required
Salary: $40,000 - $45,000
