Overview:

Toiyabe Golf Club is a semi-private golf club nestled in the foothills of the Toiyabe National Forest and the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Washoe Valley, Nevada. The club's signature 18-hole Robert Muir Graves-designed course is a natural blend of links-style and Alpine golf that will challenge low handicap players, as well as golfers of all abilities.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Initiate and promote golf activities for guests.
• Provide exceptional customer service in every guest interaction.
• Advise guests regarding tee times, course conditions, and other golf activities.
• Meet requirements for sales, rentals, and services as directed by the Director of Golf.
• Work with Food & Beverage and Guest Service teams to create a seamless guest experience.
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and clean golf shop, including front of shop and inventory.
• Assist with receiving, pricing, and selling merchandise.
• Assist with ordering merchandise and shop supplies as necessary for stock, special orders, and special events.
• Assist with special golf events, such as tournaments, as directed by the Director of Golf.
• Teach and conduct golf clinics as needed.

Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and, one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMPUTER SKILLS

• Working knowledge of various computer software programs, including GHIN.
• Knowledge of Golf Genius Software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other computer software.
• Ability to inspire and motivate others to perform well, and accept feedback from others; delegate work assignments, give authority to work independently, set expectations, and monitor delegated activities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the golf industry and industry-related trends and forecasts.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner as well as skillfully gather and analyze information.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
