What You’ll Be Doing:
• Design and implement high-reliability electronic systems, including PCBs, embedded systems, and power
electronics.
• Lead and perform all aspects of circuit card design lifecycle activities, including requirements capture,
schematic capture, component selection, signal integrity analysis, simulations, timing analysis and thermal
analysis.
• Generate PCB layout constraint guidelines, routing instructions, creation of board stackup and oversee the
routing, layout, fabrication, and assembly of complex designs.
• Creation of test plans, root cause analysis, and testing of electronic circuits and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues during development and testing phases
What We Are Looking For:
• Design circuit cards using FPGA, processor, and DDR memory components, as well as industry interfaces such
as Ethernet, PCIe, I2C, USB, LVDS, and SERDES bus technologies
• Work collaboratively with team members and independently on assigned tasks.
• Utilize schematic capture tools for the creation of circuit card designs, such as Siemens Mentor Graphics
DxDesigner and/or Xpedition, Altium, Cadence Allegro, EAGLE, KiCAD, etc.
• Familiarity with Agile for Hardware Development, including planning, tracking, and managing hardware
development projects in JIRA.
• Compliance with industry standards and regulations, including DO-254 and DO-178C is a plus. Knowledge of
the latest technology trends in high-speed digital design (up to 40GHz), as well as microprocessor, memory,
FPGA, and interface protocols.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be comfortable to work from Client location (Cedar Rapids, IA).
• Work experience of 8 years is required for this role
