Groundskeeper, Sr. cuts and maintains lawns and grass. Rakes leaves and cares for plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs. We are looking to add a new member of the team in the Landscape Construction department. The Landscape Construction Production Manager is an important role in executing the work. This would be a great opportunity for a person looking to build on their experience and take on more responsibility. 95% of our projects are commercial. This position spends 60% of their time in the field checking in with crews, clients and vendors. There is a winter component to the position.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage Landscape Construction projects from start to finish
- Coordinate and schedule all construction activities, including subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensure all electronic job tracking like work orders, purchase orders, and change orders are completed on a daily basis
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines, quality standards, and budget constraints
- Dealing with delays, requests, problems, and change orders as they arise
- Keeping the team members motivated, energized, and safe.
- Assist with project estimation or input as needed
- In-person material selection from vendors and handling material submissions to GCs
- Tracking production rates for proper bidding
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Landscape Construction, Hardscapes, and or Civil work
- Strong knowledge of Landscape Construction processes, materials, and methods
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings and execute
- Ability to operate a laser and setup projects
- Knowledge of plant material and basic ability to identify plants
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in green industry or project management (preferred)
- Valid driver's license and insurable
