Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a comprehensive category management strategy

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and pricing, and maintain relationships with key vendors

Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed of industry trends, competitors, and new products

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and preferences, and ensure that the category meets those requirements

Monitor and analyze sales data, inventory levels, and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions for the category

Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and operations teams, to align category goals and strategies

Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency measures for the category

Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to the category

Oversee the development and execution of marketing and promotional strategies

Lead and mentor a team of category specialists to ensure the successful execution of category management strategies

Continuously assess and improve processes and procedures related to the sourcing and purchasing of products
Required Skills (Technical Competency):

proven track record of delivering results, a positive attitude, and the ability to think strategically while managing multiple tasks
Desired Skills:

Oracle database systems experience
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.

Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.

Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.

Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.

Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
