JOB DESCRIPTION
The General Maintenance Worker performs a variety of general maintenance and repairs tasks in areas such as painting, carpentry, electrical, heating, plumbing and minor building repairs. Responsibilities include conducting routine inspections, performing minor fixes such as replacing light bulbs, repairing broken locks, painting of minor wall holes, hanging doors and general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS
· Possess strong oral and written communication skills, professionalism, and good time management.
· Work well in teams, be self-motivated and require minimal supervision.
· Flexible and willing to adapt to changes and new requirements.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
· High school diploma or equivalent GED certification.
· Experience with hand and electrical tools.
· Be able to work under pressure, handle multitude of projects concurrently while paying close attention to detail.
· Essential to possess a valid driver’s license, safe driving record and have consistent access to reliable transportation.
· Must pass initial and random drug tests.
· Required to pass a background check.
