Description
Scope of Position:
Supervise the day to day operations of a specific department within the Warehouse. Responsible for the staffing and provides the necessary tools for the staff of these areas to complete their daily work to customer specifications. Must be a proactive leader as well as foster a cooperative work environment in the Warehouse, Waving, Picking, and Shipping departments.

- Develop a sense of ownership for the entire department.
- Scheduling staff should be designed to meet all customer requirements.
- Ensure the proper flow of materials throughout the building and maintain the integrity of the inventory you control.
- Staff should be willing and able to move from job to job.
- Develop a better flow of materials through the department.
- Review and communicate daily activities for performance.
- Analyze both good and bad days and make the appropriate changes.
- Develop the abilities of the department.
- Training should become a key part of each week.
- Cross train all positions so you have backup for all positions.
- Be responsible for root cause analysis – quality reports.
- Track all problems coming in or leaving your area.
- Institute an analysis procedure which will tell you why events are occurring.
- Develop TQM within the department.
- Ensure all departmental procedures are followed.
- Become a leader on the floor.
- Conduct regular employee meetings.
- Treat all employees with respect.
- Be firm, consistent and fair.
- Follow up on items brought to you from the floor.
- Communicate areas of concern to management.
- Support company policies. If you disagree with a policy bring it up with management.
- Do employee evaluations on time.
Qualifications
- Intermediate Computer Skills (including experience with WFM, Email, Spreadsheets, Excel, and word processing functionality)
- Basic Math Skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- RF Scanner Experience
- Data Analysis
- Advanced Reporting skills (running and reading required reports)
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English
- Able to speak and understand Spanish is a plus
- More than 1 year Prior Management/Supervisory Experience Preferred

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the primary physical demands include:
- Frequently required to lift, carry, push and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Employee must be able to stand for the full duration of the shift typically 8-10 hours each)
- Must be able to frequently, walk, bend, crouch, climb intermittently 8-10 hours per day.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
