Forecast Analyst analyzes inventory levels, production speed, and product demand to determine the amount of finished product that will be produced. Determines the best metrics to use to provide the most accurate representation of the forecast. Being a Forecast Analyst works with other departments within the organization to determine optimal inventory levels. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Forecast Analyst typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Forecast Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Job Purpose: The Ripening Forecaster assists the Ripening Manager in responsibilities
for the efficient operation of the ripening facility within the warehouse.
They will work closely with customer and vendors to ensure optimal
fulfillment of orders with product that meets customer standards, and in
accordance to client procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize a forecasting model based on information from customer, historical demand, and
business capacity.
- Manage the continuous ripening cycle to meet demand and maintain product quality
and shelf-life.
- Conduct required inbound inspections to ensure product meets criteria prior to the
ripening process.
- Communicate with customer and Distribution Center any anticipated changes in
demand or supply.
- Implement and maintain proper sanitation in area.
- Implement proper Preventive Maintenance program for rooms and equipment.
- Track and maintain records of any customer feedback, with corrective actions as
necessary.
Education and/or Experience:
Functional knowledge of:
- Ripening Process
- Ripening quality and maturation.
- Knowledge of Produce supply chain.
- Strong Planning and organizational skills.
- Must have well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to
provide clear objectives offering support for completion through subordinates.
Computer Skills:
- Strong computer skills required; excellent with Excel and all Microsoft automation
- Preferred WMS skills required.
Reasoning Ability:
- Must be able to interact with all levels of management and have excellent written and
verbal communication skills. Must be able to manage and lead a diverse workforce.
- Good organizational skills
- Knowledge of DC operations
- Strong sense of teamwork
- Able to adhere to strict deadlines
