    The Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of Waialae Country Club’s Food and Beverage operations.

    Responsibilities:
    • Manages and oversees the Food and Beverage team to ensure a positive and cohesive work environment; provides delegation of duties to ensure service is delivered to a quality expected of a high-end private club. 
    •  Ensures training of each team member at their designated tasks, and crossover training to develop them in other areas. Assures that all employees are trained on the equipment they will be using, and all safety and sanitation procedures. 
    • Prepares necessary data for the Food and Beverage budget; projects annual revenue, COGS, labor, other costs, and monitors actual financial results. Makes adjustments as necessary to achieve financial goals. 
    • Ensures that all Club service standards are met in order to meet and exceed member expectations. Areas of focus to include proper reservation systems, member interaction on a regular basis, and establishing quality control guidelines in all areas. 
    • Assists in planning and implementing procedures for special events and banquet functions. Coordinates Food and Beverage offerings with other departments for events or activities. 
    • Develops wine lists, bottles/glass wine sales, beer sales, liquor sales, and all other beverages, in support of budget goals. 
    • Consults daily with the Executive Chef on menus and events to ensure all staff are aware of offerings and trained to exceed member expectations. 
    • Observes and ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and sanitation laws and the rules and regulations of the Honolulu Liquor Commission.
    •  Provides immediate and timely service to members and guests. Investigates and resolve service and food quality complaints. 
    • Attends all necessary staff, management, and committee meetings. 
    • Other duties as assigned by General Manager.

    Qualifications:
    • Minimum 7 years of progressive Food and Beverage management experience including multiple outlets.  Hotel and/or private club experience preferred. 
    • Thorough knowledge of casual and fine dining Food and Beverage operations including wine knowledge. 
    • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
    • Liquor Commission Registration Card and TB Clearance.
