    Heavy-Duty Oiler Technician (Seasonal) – Alpine – Fleet Shop

     

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Heavy-Duty Oiler Technician is responsible for lubricating, performing safety checks, and monitoring fluid levels on trucks and equipment. This position may assist light and heavy-duty mechanics during repairs and maintenance activities as required. This position supports the winter drilling season at Alpine.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES

          Replace engine, transmission, and differential oil.

          Replace required filters and apply grease and other lubricants on heavy duty vehicles and equipment.

          Monitor fluid levels on all vehicles and equipment.

          Check and maintain cooling and hydraulic systems.

          Maintain records and logs of fluid consumption.

          Maintain schedules of all requests and work orders.

          Assist mechanics during PM services and maintenance activities.

          Clean and maintain equipment, tools, Lube truck and Lube connex.

          Snow removal around doors and walkways.

          Properly disposing of oily waste, used oil and filters.

          Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.

          Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

     

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

          A valid (U.S issued, Alaska compliant) Class B CDL is required.

          A High School Diploma or GED is required.

          The ability to work 84 hours a week on a 3x3 rotation is required.

          A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.

          A minimum of two (2) years’ related training and experience is required.

          The ability to work in the shop and on the field with a minimal amount of supervision is required.

          The ability to operate Kenworth, T440 Lube Van with manual transmission is required.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    ·         Three (3) or more years’ experience working in a Construction/Industrial setting, the Oil and Gas/Petrochemical industry, and/or the North Slope/Arctic environment is preferred.

    WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

    While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet are free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    A candidate must be able to meet the following non-exclusive requirements:                                                              

          Meet the AES Driving Records and Motor Vehicle Use Policy.

          Take and pass a pre-employment drug test which may include both UA and hair testing.

          Meet the physical requirements of this position including working in a remote location under arctic conditions.

          Required to take and pass a Fit-For-Duty Exam 

          Required to complete and successfully pass a background check.

          Must be able to obtain and maintain an access badge for the work location.
