Financial Reporting Manager jobs in Kansas

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager that will oversee the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements. This role involves ensuring that all reports comply with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. The Financial Reporting Manager will also play a key role in the analysis and interpretation of financial data to support management decision-making.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and manage the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulatory requirements.

- Oversee the consolidation of financial results for multiple entities.

- Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, including liaising with external auditors.

- Develop and implement internal controls and financial reporting policies and procedures.

- Analyze financial data and present insights and recommendations to senior management.

- Support month-end and year-end close processes.

- Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.

- Stay updated on new accounting standards and regulatory changes and assess their impact on the company.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- CPA certification preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, public accounting, or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
