Financial Planning and Analysis Director leads the budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis of the financial team. Conducts financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations. Being a Financial Planning and Analysis Director reviews analysis results, develops insightful suggestions for investment, sourcing, cost reduction and leads strategic business decisions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Financial Planning and Analysis Director typically reports to top management or CFO. The Financial Planning and Analysis Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Fluxx is looking for a highly motivated Director, Financial Planning & Analysis to join the Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning within a SaaS environment. This role will be instrumental in driving financial performance, providing insights for decision-making, and supporting Fluxx's growth strategies. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

How you will make an impact/What you will do:
Financial Planning and Forecasting:- Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting activities
- Develop and Maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business planning
- Provide accurate and timely financial analysis to support decision making processes
- Analyze Financial performance against key business metrics and provide actionable insights.
- Prepare detailed variance analysis and explain deviations from budget/forecast
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identity trends, risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with Senior management to develop long term strategic plans
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions
- Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership
- Communicate financial results, forecasts and strategic recommendations clearly and effectively
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the financial department
- Collaborate cross functionally to support business objectives and drive operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a SaaS or technology company.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel Google Sheets.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
The expected annual base salary for this role is $180,000-$200,000. This position is eligible for target-based commissions. The base pay range is subject to change in the future. The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on, but not limited to (a) location; (b) individual candidate skills and qualifications; and (c) individual candidate experience. Fluxx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. We take a market-based approach to pay which may vary depending on your location. Locations are categorized into one of three zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic location and our compensation philosophy.
