The Facility Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other physical structures. Being a Facility Maintenance Technician recommends purchase of maintenance tools, equipment and supplies as required. Develops, maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools. In addition, Facility Maintenance Technician assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and work flow. Oversee and review the work of lower-level technicians. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to supervior or manager. Maintenance Technician
Job Description:
In this position, you will be responsible for a variety of cleaning and maintenance work throughout the facility, as well as providing assistance to the manufacturing and warehouse departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintenance:
· Cleans and maintain machines, shop tools, equipment and fixtures, tables, benches and floor.
· Perform routine maintenance of equipment
· Facility maintenance such as changing light bulbs, moving furniture, and minor repairs.
· Maintain a safe work environment
· Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
· Other duties as assigned
· Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing systems
Janitorial:
· Monitors and reports on the inventory of cleaning supplies.
· Maintains the housekeeping storage room in a neat fashion.
· Reports any maintenance concerns or repairs to the appropriate personnel.
· Provides assistance to Janitorial staff and other staff members as needed.
· Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Warehouse and Manufacturing Assistance:
· Assist production/assembly or warehouse department when needed.
· Deliver or pick up products
· Assist with organization and cleaning of warehouse area and parts stock.
