M/E Engineering is currently interviewing for an Energy Manager to be based at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and analyzing data for a full campus temperature reduction test through building automation systems.
- Documents hardware systems and performance in facilities on campus.
- Collects nameplate information and measures performance.
- Identifies measures, additional sensors, and information required to improve system efficiency and efficacy.
- Expands on the exiting Hot Water Readiness List by providing additional details and budget estimates to enable steam to hot water conversion.
- Details a process for right-sizing replacement equipment in the steam to hot water conversions.
- Identifies hot water conversion/improvement projects, resulting performance, and cost estimates.
- Identifies chilled water delta-T projects, the resulting performance, and cost estimates.
- Presents identified projects to the Director of Utilities Distribution & Energy Management (UD&EM) for approval and execution.
- Identifies, reviews, and analyzes electrification options for processing steam loads and domestic hot water loads on campus.
- Supports the Energy Conservation team with calculations and detailed investigations for projects.
- Performs all other related functions as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering, energy management, or related field. An advanced degree in engineering or related field .
- Minimum of five years' experience in energy management, consulting, or mechanical design. Experience in a higher education or research institution .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Building automation system and data analysis experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proven record of successful project management and execution.
Compensation Range
- The compensation range for this position is $85,000 to $115,000 per year.
