Job Summary: As the Benefits and Retirement Plan Manager, you'll lead the operational management of health and welfare benefits, pension, and 401k administration within our organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with company standards and plan descriptions for health and welfare and retirement saving programs.
• Manage employee benefit enrollments and records for new hires, existing employees, retirees, and terminated employees and/or dependents. This includes tasks such as open enrollment, new hire benefit orientation, COBRA, ACA reporting, audits, and maintaining accurate HRIS records.
• Conduct monthly reconciliations and audits to ensure the accuracy of benefit program participants' eligibility, payroll deductions, and invoicing.
• Collaborate with benefit vendors to ensure accurate employee information for Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, Life, Disability, and other ancillary benefits.
• Oversee the 401k program, including managing information for new hires, terminations, and employee deferral updates. Process funding requirements promptly and maintain records of employee loans and hardships within plan requirements.
• Manage three companywide retirement programs, including maintaining retiree personnel files, providing ongoing support to retirees and family members, and facilitating retirement requests with third-party administrators and actuaries.
• Process life insurance claims and 401k distributions.
• Evaluate and recommend plan design and administrative changes and enhancements as necessary.
• Develop and oversee employee communications regarding benefits.
• Maintain company-wide benefit records and update Benefit/Pension Specialist work processes and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Three or more years of experience in HR administrative roles focused on benefit and/or pension administration.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, along with a commitment to customer service and responsiveness.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Experience with HRIS systems.
