Director, Manufacturing & Operations Analytics
This position will lead the Business Intelligence and Analytics function supporting Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service.
The Ops Analytics team supports ad-hoc & self-service reporting, development of KPIs and related dashboards, as well as advanced analytic and data science projects. They transform data into actionable insights and facilitate data-driven decision-making processes.
This leader must be an excellent teacher/mentor who can raise the entire team's competencies while also creating and driving the vision for this function.
What You Will Do Here- Lead end-to-end project delivery and teams aimed at identifying, analyzing, developing, and implementing business intelligence metrics.
- Develop and deploy key performance indicators (KPIs) that track performance and provide actionable insights to business drivers impacting cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret Operations data to make strategic and tactical recommendations in support of Operations and Finance decision making.
- Work closely with C-level stakeholders, identifying and interpreting business needs and responding with BI solutions.
- Create data visualization tools utilizing database management, SQL, Power BI, and Python.
- Develop strategies and build out self-service analytic capabilities to speed up decision making and broaden the analytic capabilities across Operations.
- Design and optimize ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Own the maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. that drive key business decisions.
The successful candidate will be familiar with Manufacturing and Operations metrics pertaining to cost, quality, and delivery. In addition, you will be comfortable applying predictive/prescriptive analytic solutions leveraging advanced SQL, R, and Python modeling. You attack complex business questions with curiosity, dive deep to find root causes, develop and test hypotheses that lead to improved performance. You can effectively communicate concepts and related strategy recommendations across diverse audiences.- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Data Science or similar field of study.
- 8 years of progressive experience in analytics or related job function
- With 3 years of relevant management experience, preferably supporting a manufacturing / operations function.
- Familiarity with cost, quality, and delivery metrics in a manufacturing or ecommerce environment.
- Subject matter expert with extensive experience using PowerBI.
- A history of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Deep analytical skills, strong out-of-the-box thinking and a curious mind.
