Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Grain Elevator Operator to join our team. As a Grain Elevator Operator, you will be responsible for performing the operations of the grain elevator, including loading and unloading grain, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the safe and efficient handling of grain.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor grain elevator equipment, including conveyors, scales, and Lab equipment.
- Load and unload grain from trucks and rail cars
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Monitor grain quality and make adjustments as necessary
- Keep accurate records of grain transactions and inventory levels
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Preforming house keeping following our company standards
- Preforming Maintenance following our company PM program
Skills:
- Mechanical knowledge to operate and maintain grain elevator equipment
- Experience in heavy equipment operations to perform jobs around the facility
- Knowledge of food production processes to ensure quality standards are met
- Ability to fabricate or repair equipment as needed
- Familiarity with food processing regulations and standards
- Understanding of farming practices and knowledge of different types of grains
