Being an Editor ensures that all content meets required and accepted format and standards. Evaluates content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Additionally, Editor may coordinate with creative team to produce final drafts. Requires a bachelor's degree in journalism or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Editor occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Our for-profit education client is building an overflow studio team to support their internal creative and marketing team. We are seeking a Copy Editor (SEO Higher Education) to develop video content that drives engagement. This position is approximately 25-30 hours a week and fully remote.
You will be focused on reviewing the content and copy for various academic program pages to ensure the copy compiles with legal and brand guidelines, is engaging and informative, and drives conversions.
You must have experience working in a highly regulated space i.e. for profit education, financial services, healthcare, etc.
Duties of the Copy Editor (SEO Higher Education):- Manage a team of writers who are writing SEO-based academic programme pages
- Review and edit academic pages to ensure accuracy of content and maintain strong keyword optimization
- Understand and implement SEO best practices based on guidance from SEO team
- Edit (and write) content to comply with strict legal guidance
- Find creative solutions to ensure copy is engaging and appealing to target audiences while maintaining compliance and high optimization
- Manage the review process - updating PM system and ensure the appropriate parties are reviewing and approving
- Edit faculty-contributed content and provide tactful suggestions and feedback
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, etc
- A minimum of 4 years of editorial and copywriting experience
- Understanding SEO tools like SurferSEO
- Experience writing for higher education is highly desirable

This position is with Creative360 (C360), Creative Circle's managed services division. C360 builds and manages creative and marketing project teams and dedicated studios on behalf of our clients. A C360 Engagement Lead will oversee the scope, deliverables, reporting, and operations support, so you can focus on the things you do best!
