The
Manager, Individual Donor Relations is an important role that supports our growing major gifts program through building and maintaining great relationships with individual donors and family foundations. Individual giving makes up over half of WCK's annual revenue, and the Manager, Individual Donor Relations will oversee their own portfolio - cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors, which includes individuals and family foundations giving $5,000 , annually.
This role is intended to be a full-time hybrid exempt position, based in Washington DC, with 2-3 days on-site per week when not traveling. This role requires occasional domestic travel.

This role reports to the Director, Individual Donor Relations, will work in close collaboration with the Development team, and coordinate with Finance, and others, as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of active, lapsed, and prospective donors by establishing relationships, soliciting and stewarding gifts, and deepening ties through authentic engagement opportunities
- Conduct phone/video conversations with donors, in-person visits, and work across the Development team to request and personalize written communications, including proposals, reports, decks, and informal updates
- Achieve monthly cultivation, solicitation and stewardship targets and keep timely engagement and contact records in Salesforce
- Expand the universe of individuals that fund WCK by identifying prospective funders, cultivating relationships via outreach and events
- Coordinate with the team on the grants management calendar, including proposal and status report deadlines, while keeping meticulous records in CRM to track this information
- Assist in other development projects including events, timely campaigns, donor field visits, etc

Requirements
- Alignment with the mission and values of WCK
- 3-5 years of experience working directly with individual giving programs
- A demonstrated track record of identifying, cultivating, and soliciting donors
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM system
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can pivot to meet changing priorities when needed
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and meet deadlines
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to effectively collaborate across multiple departments
- Understanding of current trends in philanthropy
- Must be able to travel occasionally
- Must have U.S. work authorization
- Must have valid passport
Preferred candidates will also be multilingual and have prior experience in relief organizations.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 USD Per Year
