Distribution Center Manager manages the overall planning, organizing, and operations of a distribution center. Oversees all distribution functions, including order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving. Being a Distribution Center Manager monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels to fulfill all orders. Balances workloads as needed to achieve production and delivery goals for each shift. Additionally, Distribution Center Manager utilizes software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics, and anticipate and resolve problems. Provides the necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations. Complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements. May evaluate and select transportation or freight services, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relations. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Distribution Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Distribution Center Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • The Distribution Center Manager will profitably manage the receipt, storage, and transfer of slabs and tile products at the Distribution Center in a safe and cost-effective manner. This position must ensure consistent and proper flow of slabs and tile to customers while building sales relationships and ensuring proper safeguarding of and record keeping over the company’s inventory asset investment. The DC Manager is held accountable for regional sales, profitable growth, delivery, and quality metrics.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Closely manage the day-to-day operations of the Distribution Center.
    • Build relationships with business partners and ensure customer satisfaction is met. Recommend and initiate changes as needed to improve overall customer service.
    • Communicate effectively with the Operations Managers in regard to all DC-related initiatives.
    • Manage the inventory process and procedure to regularly obtain an accurate inventory of products through system cycle counts against physical counts. Communicate inventory levels needed to meet sales demands within inventory models.
    • Coordinate DC activities to ensure that objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner. Ensure that employees have the necessary tools and resources and are properly trained to perform their jobs.
    • Ensure that slabs are safely stored in a logical and orderly manner.
    • Ensure the Distribution Center is properly organized and kept clean to promote the Cambria brand image.
    • Regularly interact and collaborate with District Managers and Market Representatives in the region.
    • Maintain a safe work environment for all employees. Comply with OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, and company safety standards.
    • Manage internal fleet while following DOT regulations.
    • Maintain warehouse equipment up to safety and operations standards.
    • Other duties as assigned by management

    • Ability to work extended hours as needed
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred (as applicable)


    Managerial Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for hiring, training, and performance management
    • Be a visible leader and provide support to all Distribution Center employees
    • Provide oversight and direction to employees and ensure compliance with company-wide initiatives, policies, and procedures
    • Provide a positive and engaging work environment, encourage open communication and maintain positive employee relations


    Minimum Requirements:

    Education: Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred

    Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or operations environment. Minimum 3 years of management experience.

    Systems: Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point.


    Additional Requirements:

    Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to other Cambria locations as needed.

    Physical Requirements: Ability to perform light to heavy physical tasks; able to lift 50 pounds safely.


    The US base salary range for this position is $80,000-$105,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education or training.
