Director of International Education leads and directs all aspects of the institution's international programs. Oversees programs, activities, faculty affairs, and academic support services. Being a Director of International Education develops and implements strategies to attract and retain students and faculty. Oversees the operations of the study abroad and foreign exchange programs, the international admissions process, and English language programs. Additionally, Director of International Education ensures that the curriculum remains current and is in compliance with accreditation standards. Monitors the documentation and visa application processes. Oversees the departmental budget and management of expenditures throughout the year. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Director of International Education typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Our client is a Fortune 500 insurance company in the Greater Cincinnati area. The International Tax Director will have dual responsibility, spending 20% of the time on International Tax matters while leading a tax department of 6 direct reports.
International Corporate Tax experience is required with a preference for experience in the insurance industry. This role will be part of a very seasoned and collegial group and will be positioned to succeed the current tax director next year.

Primary Responsibilities
· Reduce dependance on outside consulting work performed for financial reporting related to US tax implications of international operations.
· Create and administer the quarterly financial reporting process for the Lloyd’s operation ensuring appropriate foreign taxes are recorded in GAAP and UK financials.
· Develop and maintain the foreign tax compliance process ensuring appropriate foreign taxes are reflected in the US federal tax return.
· Review international calculations including FTC, PFIC and E&P
· Assess international tax returns, including forms 5471, 8858, 8865 and 8975.
· Create and maintain platform to determine Pillar Two exposure for foreign operations.
Qualifications
· Experience and understanding of transfer pricing with the ability to analyze amounts charged for cross border transfer of services.
· In-depth knowledge of US international tax rules and regulations
· Proven experience with navigating permanent establishment rules applicable to foreign operations
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior and executive leadership.
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other related field; master’s degree in taxation preferred.
· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
· Prefer 8 years of tax experience at a public accounting firm with an emphasis on property, casualty or life insurance, or equivalent corporate tax experience at a Fortune 500 organization.
