Diagnostic Imaging Manager jobs in the United States

Diagnostic Imaging Manager plans and implements the overall diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services for several departments which may include nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography and ultrasound. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Diagnostic Imaging Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, Diagnostic Imaging Manager typically reports to a director. The Diagnostic Imaging Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     • JOB SUMMARY
      • The Manager-Diagnostic Imaging is responsible for providing leadership and management of operations at the Hospital Based Imaging Departments. Responsible for planning, organizing and managing high quality, cost effective imaging services as well as training and managing personnel. Responsible for providing positive leadership and a working environment that promotes teamwork and customer satisfaction.
    • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
      • Education: Bachelors Degree in Radiologic Science or Management.
      • Experience: Three (3) years experience in healthcare leadership.
      • Licensure/Certification/Registration: N/A
    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
      • Education: N/A
        Experience: Three (3) years of successful work in a position with demonstrated growth in responsibilities.  Previous supervisory experience with management including human resources and quality improvement.
        Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS Registry.

      • SPEAKING - Advanced: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, top management, public groups, clients, customers, and the general public.
      • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Advanced: Ability to comprehend and apply advanced mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations and proportions to practical situations.
      • REASONING ABILITY - Advanced Skills: Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
