JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Commonwealth Office of Technology has an open Desktop Support/Asset Management position in the Paducah Distribution Center in Paducah, KY. The ideal candidate for this position must maintain a valid driver’s license, lift and carry heavy objects, spend a major portion of their time using a computer, and work overtime as needed. The ideal candidate should also possess strong analytical skills, be an excellent communicator, have strong time-management skills, be detail-oriented, and be highly organized.

LOCATION: Onsite/Paducah

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Managing hardware requests.
• Managing Distribution Center (DC) stock levels.
• Auditing hardware in tech’s name.
• Asset Reconciliation.
• Working with data and asset management.
• Processing stolen\lost\missing devices.
• Auditing computer naming.
• Auditing ServiceNow Inactive Users (KHRIS).
• Running and providing reports.
• Managing computer consumables.
• Managing DC asset disposals.
• Preparing hardware for techs (Image or Intune reset of computers).

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in a related field preferred.
• Prior experience in desktop support, asset management, or related roles.
• Familiarity with imaging processes, such as Intune resets or similar, is highly desirable.
• Experience with ServiceNow, asset management software, or similar systems is a plus.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and basic networking concepts.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and work in uncomfortable positions for extended periods.
• Capacity to spend significant time using a computer.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in auditing and inventory management.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
