Decision Support Specialist provides guidance and solutions to users working with decision support software and data tools. Assists in the preparation, deployment, and delivery of decision support tools to users. Being a Decision Support Specialist analyzes user requirements and evaluates functionality and configuration options available for existing and new software. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Decision Support Specialist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Decision Support Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Oversees and leads decision support, data analytics, operational reporting, budgeting, costing, productivity, and other financial analysis reporting. The manager will work closely with operations, leadership team, peers from other applications, technical teams, and hospital staff, to drive internal and external operational solutions.
The Decision Support/Financial Analytics Manager supervises the team responsible for the development and production of analytics and reporting that will help drive operational and business improvements. Responsible for the decision support and financial analytics teams, with overall responsibility for the direction, scope, cost, schedule, quality, and success of the department. Responsible for organization, prioritization, and structure of workload. Must have a passion for change and identifying better ways to do things. Must be an effective communicator and independent worker who will be an industry leader in changing how data and analytics is configured, delivered, and supported.
