What you’ll do

Become the first writer on Outgo’s creative team! We’re looking for someone who is ready to lead the industry and our company in our communication and storytelling to our customers. You will spearhead developing best-in-class creative and branded marketing communications. This position reports into the Head of Design.

• Help explore and define brand voice as an important part of our brand style guide.
• Brainstorm, iterate and build Outgo’s communication and storytelling strategy across various communication channels.
• Craft captivating and groundbreaking copy across our different media channels including blog, social media, site, email communication, advertising, affiliate, and event materials.
• Own all marketing site copy, optimize copy for search engines (SEO) to improve organic visibility and drive customer engagement acquisition. 
• Manage content from draft to publication across our media channels. 
• Manage our social media presence, engaging with our followers regularly.
• Measure the impact of Outgo’s content and brand marketing efforts by analyzing its influence on acquisition and conversion.
• Explore, iterate, and develop content based on experiment findings, market learnings, and customer insights.

• You’re a writer. From blog posts, emails, social media promotions, scripts, presentations and case studies –– you’re skilled in coming up with the right words to promote a message. You have exceptional proofreading, editing, and writing skills.
• You’re outcome-oriented: You tie your work to results to understand its impact in customer comprehension, conversion and acquisition. 
• You’re organized. You have great project management, organizational, and planning skills.
• You’re a partner. You partner cross-functionally and excited by collaborating with marketing, product, design, and operation stakeholders. You help form a marketing vision alongside our CEO. 
• You’re strategic. You create strategic initiatives that match high-level goals, while executing on the details. 
• You’re knowledgeable. You know the ins-and-outs of marketing best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience as a digital copywriter, with a portfolio demonstrating successful projects.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing and content strategy principles and techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in SEO best practices and tools.
• Experience with A/B testing and data-driven decision-making.
• Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
• Deadline-driven and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be based in the Seattle, WA area and able to work in the office on a hybrid basis, or have willingness to relocate. 

The salary for this role is between $90,000 and $140,000. The specific salary offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience. The hired candidate will be eligible for fully paid individual healthcare benefits (50% dependents), self-managed time off, life insurance, employee assistance program, and twelve holidays. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including stock options.

Our office is located in the South Lake Union neighborhood in Seattle, and we operate on a hybrid basis.
