    Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to join our Engineering team. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost accounting, and will have a significant role in human resources and finance. The Controller will work closely with senior management to develop financial strategies and make crucial business decisions.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
    • Responsible for the preparation of the company's budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
    • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with standard accounting procedures and business regulations.
    • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
    • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
    • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
    • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
    • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
    • Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports.
    • Collaborate with human resources to ensure smooth financial operations and processes.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA or CPA is preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably within the Engineering industry.
    • Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
    • Ability to strategize and solve problems with strong leadership skills and business acumen.
    • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with all levels of internal and external audit teams.
    • Ability to handle, prioritize, multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, and respond to urgent situations appropriately.
    • Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
    • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
