Being a Consumer Lending Branch Auditor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Consumer Lending Branch Auditor typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Position Summary
Responsible for analyzing consumer loan requests and making credit decisions within granted lending authority and based on established credit union underwriting standards, procedures, and regulations. Underwrites applications via all channels, by reviewing credit reports, application data and collateral, if applicable, to approve, counter offer or deny loan requests. Works with Loan Officers to provide professional and effective feedback/coaching on interviewing and documentation standards as well as loan quality. Ensures decisions are rendered within turnaround time expectations. Offers cross-sale approvals of additional credit union products to meet member needs.
Responsible for meeting scorecard performance standards as well as delivering the highest level of internal and external member service. Assists with departmental projects, training and meetings as requested by lending management.
Maintains a positive attitude and conducts business in a professional manner. Assures that all members, staff and visitors are treated with consideration and respect.
